And I'm defining this loosely: I want anything where they so much as exchange a smoldering glance or Sigh Meaningfully While Contemplating Each Other up here-- this pairing's story-base is too small to quibble over how much interaction constitutes a them-centric fic.

Right, I'll go through and fix the codes at some point today. And even though I believe you mentioned disliking it, or at least it not being your favorite, just a comment: Valeriana is basically my favorite short (well, by that I mean not epic!length) fic. I really adore it to bits.

I'd classify anything over 1000 words as a long fic! It's still probably the longest one I've ever written. I just wish I could write it now, so that I could avoid the mistakes I did that time (distancing, POV switches and purple prose), meh. But I'm seriously happy that people like it. Not enough good Five/Ainley out there, damn it!

I'm just pleased that someone else is doing the work! It is nice to have all the old-skool stuff together, though I think I'll put my hands over my ears and sing over the Spice Girls suggestion ;).

Have you ever considered the same for fanart? There was some interest at some point but I never got around to doing it.

I only wish it were possible to puts one's ears over one's brain. :( And as long as what you're singing isn't Britpop I'm sure we'll all be fine.

The trouble with doing the same for fanart is that I never look at it/wouldn't know all the places to go/where to begin. I don't have things tagged already like I do for classic fic. And while I respect the talent involved, manips, which our corner of fen seems oddly prone to, are not for me, to the point where looking through the nets for them would get arduous.

That's an awesome suggestion, though, it really is. And I bet there's interest! If you or someone more savvy re: art than I was up for it I would cheer on the effort/link to it as a paired thing on each index? That would be terribly convenient!

Actually I was suggesting straight fanart rather than manips, but I'm biased as it's fanart that's my playground ;).

Come to think of it I did have fanart on my list, wonder where it went!

Yeah, straight (well, er, in one sense) fanart ftw! I wish we got more fanart!

The problem facing me re: doing that list is that I really should do all the pairings. But there's enough of a significant population of Theta/Koschei fics to daunt me, and I similarly balk at the hugeness that is the Ten/Simm List, though I'm pretty sure there's the same problem w/ that re: stuff scattered about that not everyone knows about. I would almost have to break that list down by period or trope of choice in order to make it useful, and updating it would be murder. I'm really ambivalent re: lists outside of 2-9.
