You know how people sometimes mod My Little Ponies? Well, now you do (and check out this Borg pony! ).
Once upon a time I was torn between respecting the craftsmanship and cool aesthetics of some of the custom ponies and being pretentious and thinking it was a bit silly. But lo,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
gothic_hamlet and blinkidybah came unto me with a pony, a BABY pony, no less, and said "Stop being a dumb ho and mod the damn pony, you know you want to."
And it was so, so good. I appreciate the subversive elements of taking a mass-produced item and reclaiming it through creative input. It's a challenge to the hyper-femininity of the toy to cover up the blase fairy-floss pink with something more interesting. And it's FUN.
So without further explanation or excuse, I give you Delgado!Master!Pony (My little pony? He belongs to NO ONE!).
For further revelations, including the pony riding a Dalek alarm clock...
Behold the salt n' pepper hair! The dappling effect! The random-yet-adorable freckles! The tiny goatee! The wee buttons on the cuffs! The early-model TCE butt decoration! I know that was a lot of build up, but really, could anything have prepared you for that?!
